Hello out there.
I am looking for a good/reliable supply of jacketed(not lead tipped hunting stuff) 8mm mauser that is in canada. There is tons of surplus stuff in the US but that doesnt help me up here. Any thoughts would be welcome. Gotta feed the pigs right?? thanks.

Although it is lead tipped, the Igman 170gr stuff from Districorp is about the most reasonable that I have found. If you do find some surplus, let me know!:D

Well its not cheaper than $78USD per 900rd box lol(what some 8mm sells for in the us). I reload... but mostly for hunting ammo... and not blasting away.. as its takes allot of time to load rifle rounds.

Thanks to all replies so far. when i enquire at stores im told the ammo is not imported beacause there is no demand for it. ....doesnt seem like that on here does it???? again thanks for the info all..

They just say that to get you off there backs. It is one of our top 5 most requested cartridges. There are a S**T load of Mausers in this country. Don't worry, you won't have to wait much longer.

Hmmmm.....ok...I hope that means your steering a Chinese merchant ship into harbour as I type this. :)

I have gotten Czech 8mm before off another board member in the past. Out of the three types of 8mm milsurp I have tried, it was the best. Only a few FTF's out of a couple hundred..... good stuff!!!

I came across 2 cases of Romanian light ball a couple years back. Very nice ammo. You have to keep your eyes open, you never know when it'll show up.

I just picked up a couple hundred rounds of WRA 8mm, Brass cases, FMJ copper bullet, and clean. This stuff must be War time Ammo made by Winchester Repeating Arms, anyone know the history on this stuff?
