where to find a 300 WIN MAG muzzle break ?

Contact Rick at Alberta Tactical. He is a supporting dealer here. Rick can custom build too if you so desire. Impeccable service and fantastic products. I would highly recommend him!

i just ordered one from coretac solution. It a bolt on so I don't need to get my barrel machine. I you're willing to wait about 2 weeks. I will be posting a review here and on youtube.

I will be mounted on a Tikka Forest 300 WIN MAG.

Im looking to put it on my Weatherby Vanguard S2, prefer not to have to ship the rifle out, just get the break shipped to me and get a local smith to machine the barrel and put the break on.

Ok, so I got the PM from Chaput.... It flew off the end of his rifle... DEFINITLY not looking for that. I think im going to thread the end of my barrel... Any suggestions on type of muzzle break ? My shoulder is sore from shooting today.... lol

I don't understand why people put a brake on a 300 win mag. If you can't handle the recoil why buy one? Instead of spending money on a brake, start reloading and load it to a level you can shoot it at or work up the loads and your tolerance. A s2 is a hunting rifle, not some bench gun and unless you are going to walk through the woods with ear protection on you won't enjoy shooting it with a brake on.

Have you tried a shoulder worn recoil pad like the ones PAST makes? They really help, without the additional noise of a muzzle brake.

I do agree a brake is silly on most hunting rifles but at the same time not everyone reloads

exactly...get a 30-06 or a 308...if you must have a 30 caliber....if you're not stuck on a 30 caliber go 270.

leave the brakes for the tacticool sniper wannabes.

While I'm not trying to take money out of ATR's pocket, I don't like brakes much; I don't consider the reduction of recoil by redirecting muzzle blast towards the shooter a reasonable trade off. The real answer to obnoxious recoil is by handloading your ammunition. Lighter bullets and reduced powder charges are the best ways to tame a .300, or any other hard kicker. If you don't handload now, the cost of that brake will pretty much get you set up, and once you're handloading you can make ammo that is not commercially loaded. If you do handload, work up a recipe with an appropriate powder that will drive a 130-150 gr bullet at 3000 fps, and you'll still enjoy a flat trajectory without the drama associated with a full power 180 gr slug ahead of 70+ grs of slow burning powder. If that still proves too much to enjoy, then drop it back another 200 fps.
