I had Jennings years back put one on the 308 Norma Mag.
Not the greatest idea I have had, but it allows me to use the old gal.

Safest way to be. Squeezing off in the presence of strangers will get you on the registry.
At most have a cup of tea first...
Fixed it for you. Time is the only thing you can't get more of.
I don't understand why people put a brake on a 300 win mag. If you can't handle the recoil why buy one? Instead of spending money on a brake, start reloading and load it to a level you can shoot it at or work up the loads and your tolerance. A s2 is a hunting rifle, not some bench gun and unless you are going to walk through the woods with ear protection on you won't enjoy shooting it with a brake on.
Have you tried a shoulder worn recoil pad like the ones PAST makes? They really help, without the additional noise of a muzzle brake.
