Does anyone know where to find a 9 mm tokarev barrel? I am only looking for the barrel so that I can replace it with 7.62x25 barrel.

I can't shoot steel core ammo at the indoor range. Even that norinco bimetal jacket stuff is not allowed. Apparently it can cause a fire, I call BS but its their place their rules. For me 9mm is actually cheaper

I have called:

lever arms
Western Gun parts
sebarms
Marstar, they were difficult but found out they don't have any.
Google, can't seem to find any for sale online

Does anyone know where I can look or would like to sell me one and a fair price?

I am willing to give marstar money so you know I really want one

Have you tried Trade Ex Canada from Hawkesbury ON? That's where I bought my Zastava M70a. Maybe you will get lucky and they have a spare barrel laying around. You will need a front bushing as well, if you do not have one already... Good luck!

i looked online, never did call them. Is it worth a phone call?

9 mm barrels may not fit certain pistols. If pistol of WW2 vintage then due to war manufacturing tolerances vary and parts need to be fitted. if its Chinese made then look for chinese barrel they usually drop in.
7.62 mags feed 9mm without any issues. 9mm just needed to be stacked properly towards the front of the mag. But proper 9mm mag will be better

Did it not feed properly? I have read lots online saying the x25 mags work just fine.

If I didn’t slap the magazine to get the 9mm rounds to sit right to the front, the pistol would fire the first two rounds and then hang the third.

I bought a 9mm magazine and then ran into other issues. Sounds like the results vary quite a bit from gun to gun.

The Cooey on the other hand, runs flawlessly ;)

I thought a spacer had to go into the 7.62x25 mag to get them to run the shorter 9mm ?

You really do need the spacer. If not you will run into feeding issues once the magazine spring lightens up. The rounds have to much play front and rear of the magazine. It gets annoying super fast. I may have a 9mm Norinco M213 barrel kicking around. I'll take a look for it when I get home tonight from work. If I still have it I'll send you a PM, but I have a feeling I gave it away when I sold off the spare magazines I had.

When you add up the cost of a barrel and some 9mm magazines, you're like 50% to another gun. You can still find the m70a on the used market for $250.

Five or six years ago I had ten TT-33 9mm barrels and twenty 9mm TT-33 mags. I was offering one barrel with two mags and couldn't give them away. Over the years they have all sold but what a chore. Funny how times change and something you couldn't give away is now in demand.

Kinda sounds like lee enfields and mosins

tomorrow there is a huge surplus and they are so cheap its basically free and today? Well browse the EE.

I think I should buy another sks while I am thinking of it...

I purchased my 9mm barrel from Numrich along with a bunch of other parts about 2 or years ago. They charged ~50 for international shipping but I think that may have changed. May be worth browsing their web site.

www-gun parts corp.com (remove the blanks)

Cheers
