Where to find a CZ75B Vanilla model?

Fairly new to the Hobby but I really like the looks of the vanilla CZ75B the question is, where can you buy one? I've seen all sorts of variants the Canadian, shadowline, the 2 tone silver and black, but not no one seems to stock the basic original model? why is this and are they actually no longer being made?

Would I be better off looking for one on EE? and if so is there a big difference between B and pre-B? are pre-B magazines still available?

Get the CZ 75B Omega. Pre B are hard to get magazines for. They come up on EE once in a while. The Pre B has a nice trigger pull but the 75B looks better with the nicer hammer and trigger guard.
 
There is a 75B for sale on the EE right now for a decent price. The 85 Combat is a bit more money. You may or may not feel it is worth it. Essentially the same gun without a firing pin block and the 85 Combat does have adjustable sights.

I really like the 75B plain Jane model for a range gun. Other than I have a rather large stable of CZ's now, I can not think of a reason why I should not get the 75 B. Well there is one reason, She Who Knows Best might get upset....again. LOL

You cannot go wrong with any of the CZ's other than they have a habit of multiplying in the safe.

That is really odd. They were everywhere a little while ago, but looking around on their websites it doesn't look like they're there. Closest one to plain I could see online was at Italian Sporting Goods for a a 75BD model.
 
Yeah, I've noticed the stores are out of the standard 75B, too. A few months ago it seemed everyone had it in stock. Now I wish I'd bought one when they were in stock.

I paid $1100 for my matte stainless 5 months ago. When I was thinking of one 4 years ago they were $750. Seems like they do a good job of going up.

I got my high-polish stainless from IRG when the dollar was better for about $840 CAD in 2014.

I really don't get it. P&D has a SP-01 listed for less than the matte stainless.
 
Welcome to the world of the 70 cent dollar. If Trudeau keeps spending like a drunken sailor the dollar will hit 60 cents US in the absence of a rise in the price of oil. The East wants the Liberals in power well fly at it and keep importing oil into the Maritime provinces while you are at it.

P&D want over $2K for the Canadian Edition with Red Grips. Now that is rich.

Thanks everyone for the advise, i guess the prices really have jumped with our poor dollar. I'll keep my eyes on EE looking for a good deal to come along.

The main reason I really like the CZ75B plain jane is I hate the monster grips that everything else seems to come in these days. and I really like the heft of a steel frame, not big on polymers or aluminum weight.

Currently have a couple TT33's, Ruger Mk2 Target, and a Norinco NP20. If there is anything else out there made by a reputable company that has that no frills styling I like that is somewhat easy on the pocket book i'm interested.

I should have also mentioned, I'm interested more in 9mm then 40S&W. unless there is a good reason to consider 40S&W over 9mm?
 
9mm is way cheaper to shoot, and the 75B is a great pistol, it was my first one, and i still have it, great feeling, shoots straight and well, its all black and basic and plain jane which is what drew me to it in the first place, there was one on the EE for $580 the other day, but anything less then $600 and they tend to move quick
 
The Canik 55 S-120 is another option. The quality is great. I have 6 different CZ pistols and I'd put the S-120 on par. Even fits the CZ holster. I purchased one in chrome cerakote months ago but have yet to fire it. Haven't had much time. They are made under CZ licence in Turkey. There is lots of info about them on the web. They are well liked on the CZ forums and Angus Hobdell's CZCustom shop even did a run of them tuned and upgraded from the custom shop. Stainless models have always been more expensive or at least on par! I got my polished stainless in 2010 and and pretty sure it was more than SP-01 cant remember is shadows were out then lol

Yup. Always been more expensive. I have a polished stainless and a matte stainless. I'm sure the polishing work has something to do with it.
