Don't forget the old fashioned sources. A long time ago my brother found a beautiful K98 in factory fresh condition for $200, through the newspaper ads. The gun came with a box of 1950's era ammo, missing a couple of rounds. The story was that shortly after the war, thousands of K98's found their way to Canada, and an older gentleman had bought this one and only fired a couple of rounds. I'm not sure exactly what the story was behind the rifles condition, but the stock was completely new and unfinished, literally bare wood with no sign of ever having been finished. The hardware was obviously new and pristine. Basically it looked as though the rifle had been assembled from captured factory pieces, but not completely finished. Anyways, my point was... it could pay to keep an eye on non-virtual sources, even in this world of technology. Old people with old things, sometimes sell things the old fashioned way.
