Where to find a single wood swivel stud?

Looking for a single swivel stud (wood) to mount a bipod on my boyds stock....any tips on how to mount the stud as well on the boyds laminate stock for 10/22?

much appreciated
 
I picked up a pack of two at a local shop the other day for around $5. "Allen" brand I believe, it wasn't at CT but you'd probably find them there if that was your only local option. You'd have a spare then...

I just drill a SMALL pilot hole and they come with a sort of crush washer so you can get it lined up to the sling without ripping the threads out.
 
I had the machines screw stud with the metal insert that goes inside the stock. Obviously it won't fit under the barrel like that, but I counter sunk it with a drill bit that was just smaller then the knureled edge of the insert. Then just tightened it nd removed to turn the insert until it was nice and straight. I think I also trimmed of the stud that was sticking out of the insert with a dremel so it was flush.

I like this method better because there's no chance of stripping out the hole with the wood screw.

Pretty sure I still have that stock. I'll post pics if I can find it.
