Where to find barrelled actions?

Hey guys, I've been doing some looking around and I'm wanting one of these 5r milspec 700's. But seeing as I'd change the stock anyway, does anyone know where you could pick up the barrel etc, minus the stock?

Find something used or buy it new and sell the stock.
I haven't seen them available as a barreled action only.

They pop up on the EE from time to time. They usually aren't much cheaper than a complete rifle though. Your probably better off just buying the complete rifle somewhere.

I think Sean at North Shore had a deal on some tuned up rem700 actions

savage at one time sold all their action seperately ..... now i think it is just their single shot target action that you can only get .

The stock will sell for about 300$ in a couple days on the EE. As others have said buy a complete rifle and sell the stock off. The HS take off at 300$ is a bargain, they are a great stock.
