Where to find elusive factory ammo?

I haven’t been having any luck locally or browsing online

I’m looking for 250~ rounds of factory match ammo for a .260

Preferably 130-140g, looking like Federal or Hornady would be my best bet? Have you guys had any luck with one of the sponsers above for special ammo orders?

I’m going to head down to RMH for Rob Furlong’s course, and need consistent ammo capable of 1 MOA out to 600m - even if I’m not. Eventually I’ll set up to roll my own, but not before this.

Or should I just buy a 6.5CM and save myself the hassle?

I took his Level 1 course and it was awesome. You'll learn a ton! Rob's got an in with Hornady, maybe he can place an order for you if you don't get any luck?

Glad to hear the course went well, I’ll be taking L1, I’ve heard nothing but good things. Strong front runner for the best birthday gift my wife has gotten for me.
 
Before you pursue the option of buying a rifle, it is possible to set your barrel back 1/2" and have it reamed to 6.5 creed or x47.....
 
Next time, before you feel the inclination to flame someone whom you disagree with, just remember what you learn here can be priceless. This thread, for example.

No one flamed anyone here. It happens from time to time in other threads. Fairly often I learn new things on this site. I'm gladly sending a thank you to the previous posters here. And just maybe I'm ribbing the flamers elsewhere. When we stay civil, as in this case, we gain a whole lot more compared to when we get into an argument. That's my point.

Yeah they’ve all got a small selection of hunting ammo.

P&D is looking into some Hornady for me, I was able to find some some 130g ELD-M through Precsion Optics. If I can avoid the shipping charge I’ll be a little better off. I must have just asked the wrong person when I checked P&D, or wasn’t clear on what I was after. Dennis is digging deeper for me.

Appreciate the feedback guys.

And yeah, Mad dog, there is a wealth of knowledge on this site. Learning new things all the time.
