hi guys,

i finally got my Hornady LNL Auto Progressive set up but i can't seem to find any stores that has their shell plates. i am looking for #45 and #10, also looking for some of their dies and bushings. any leads would be great.

thanks,

Try Higginson Powders, Shooters Choice and Gobels in London.
Also Epps.

There is a real back order on reloading equipment right now. One dealer told me he has been sitting for three months on a $25,ooo supply order. I've been waiting since March for some stuff.

If you got the new EZ-JECT press you'll need the shell plates that come in plastic box, not paper one. New shell plates have a groove at the bottom and will work with the older press but not the other way around.

I've had pretty good luck buying parts from the USA. Cabela's had bushings a week ago and may still now, graf and sons, sinclairs, midsouth shooters supply, all have some plates. Dies are a bit of a crapshoot but they're out there.

Oh, and hornady will alter the old shellplates to work on the new press, 10 bucks each I think.

I'm still waiting for my L&L & Case Feeder from Cabelas (2 months) :(, but accessories that I ordered directly from Hornady have all arrived. They aren't the cheapest by a long shot but for just the small ticket items needed to get going, who cares ? Mind you, its hard to get going without the press :(.

I have ordered from just about everyone listed above and they are all backordered and have been for months. The best lead I have is direct from Hornady. They said 2 weeks ago that they would send the parts and we have agreed on shipping. They told me 1-2 weeks til they would get it to me and that is better than anyone else.

P&D in Edmonton was trying to help me out and have a order in currently. You might want to check with them as they really seemed like they wanted to help me out.

Still waiting on the free bullets as well. Has anyone received them?

I had been looking for a #8 shellplate since January. EVERY store was out, and my backorders (from different companies) all kept getting pushed back. Estimated arrival dates kept jumping by 2 weeks up until April.

I got fed up, and paid $40 US on eBay for one. I have seen #45 shellplates going for $70+ as well. Now I just have to get some dies...

Well I'm not giving up yet. Some of the others above have been at this as long as me because this same thread keeps popping up.

This is worse than a beer strike:(

Try Graf & Son's & Lock Stock & Barrel in the US. They both seem to replenish stock quite quickly & have lot's of Hornady product.

I checked out the Graf site and it appears to be a good site. They are out of stock on some of the accecories that I want still. I have all the things I need to get going, Now its just my want list.

Everything is severly backordered... I have been waiting for shell plates for a couple months now.

Before that we waited nearly 8 months to get some bulk bullets from hornady... its not just hornady, lee, rcbs and many others are months or even years behind production.

Dont worry I ve been waiting since January for additional bushings for my Lock and Load A/P press,my supplyer hasnt got a clue whats going on and Ive been waiting a year for my bullets to appear, apparently Im on a list of some sorts

I got my dies from Gobles in Canada a couple months ago. My lock n load press came from lock stock n barrelin the US in May and the rest of my stuff i got Hornady to ship (powder cop, 45 shell plate, powder through expander, etc. Still waiting for my free 1100 bullets from hornady and can't get any around here either, yet to make a completed round!

Hornady told me last week that shell plates are 60 to 90 days behind right now, I had to go outside the distribution network and pay more but my plates are going to be here this week... my last hornady order for business bullets took 8 months and I am paying for them and order alot more then 1000 at a time... so dont expect those free bullets to quickly they are on the bottem of the list...:D I too am waiting for my free bullets I expect to see them in 2010
