OK, well I got a grenade in today from another CGN'er. I had thought it would be a No.32 Mills bomb, but oddly enough it's not. It's a nearly complete No.23 MkII Rod-type mills bomb. The pin holes are intact too, not broken off as is so often the case.
It's missing the spoon, pin and rod, but nevertheless this is a really rare grenade made in April 1917.
Sadly, I still need a No.32 Mills bomb with base, so if anyone has two and wants to add a really rare mills bomb variant to their collection, please pm me to arrange the trade
Considering the unliklihood that many of these No.23's are floating around, I'll be looking to trade this one for a complete No.32 grenade (i.e. complete with spoon, ring, and launcher base).
