Somehow the screw that holds the magazine spring in place on my mosin 1891/30 has worked its way loose and disappeared without a trace. So, I'm now in the market for what is probably an overpriced little part but without it, I've got a single shot gun.

It's part number 27 on that site.

I called Marstar today and they don't have any so I suppose that my next option will be these guys. If I knew what the exact size of the screw was I might be able to pick up a replacement at home deopt or something.

Any ideas??

Fantabulastic. Aren't Gunnutz great! :D

To see that the part is all of $1.45 in the states and to get it shipped here it would make it a 10$ part, which I'd be willing to do since I like having a working magazine but....

We are (and should be) a tight shooting community, and as far as I am concerned, there will be a day where I may need a part like that.

So no worries, happy to be a help, I just gotta root through the old screw-bin!

I only have 1891's but thanks to my Russian friend Colonel Mosin, the parts are all the same.

Yep, those damn Russians can't make a rifle! I mean, my gun is only 66 years old (1939) and survived world war two and all and it still broke. To think of all the nice, easy treatment that it got on the frontline in those war years and then to be roughly refurbed and packed away, sheesh, what garbage they made. :p :D :p

----- Technically it didn't break, the part just became lost
