Hey guys

Anyone knows where one could find small springs and small roll pins? (ie: 3/16" dia. x 1-3/8" long for the spring and 1/8" x 3/4" for the roll pin)

I'd like to lighten the trigger pull on my CZ 452. What kind of stores should I go to? I've tried Rona, Home Depot, Reno Depot and CDN tire to no avail. I'm in QC.

Thanks for your help,
Radar

This might not be what you're looking for..but sometimes you'll find a perfect spring to trim down in a pen, take apart a few pens around the house and you may be surprised

Try LORDCO auto supply. We have Lordco in B.C. but any well stocked auto supply store has all kinds of bins and trays of all those little pins , springs and clips that are in and on carbs and auto transmissions. Take in something close to the right size and say you want the next 2 sizes bigger or smaller for the pins and take in the spring you have and ask for something similar but lighter. They have a lot of stuff behind the counters.

A good hobby shop might have springs. I find they have lots of really tiny tools and hardware.

A decent auto supply store will have roll pins.

Thanks guys,

I'll try the NAPA stores this morning and will drop by a few hobbyist shops too.

7.62mm thanks for the offer. If all fails I'll have to take you up on that! ;)

My first respone on reading the thread title was "at the bottom of small wells" but I figured that might get me shot.

Search on the internet under springs, spring makers or industrial springs. There are a number of companies out there who can supply an assortment. You need to know 1) expansion or compression <does it pull or push>
2) wire thickenss
3)free length

some idea of the force/load you want, ussually in lbs/.1 of an inch is a good thing to have in mind too.

Pen springs are far too light. Wolf Springs sells 'Gunsmith packs' of assorted springs. 20 for $9.99US. They're under 'General Purpose' on their site.

Instead of looking for any old spring and maybe messing up something, do a www.dogpile.com search of "CZ 452" You will find a site by "ERIC BROOKS" that has trigger kits for $15us and ships internationally If you can't find the site it's http://cz452.com he sells a bunch of stuff for the CZ452. Also check out the DIY pillar bedding how to.
