Where to find Tikka T3X actions?

Recon finding a left hand action in 308 might be difficult. 308 bolt face in stainless/blued short or long action you'd have a better chance. I recently stumbled across a blued T3 sporter 6.5x55. The Swede is becoming less popular, blued action less popular and t3 vs t3x less popular. Once re-barrelled to 22-250 stainless barrel and painted no will know if blued or stainless action. The bolt stop in long does not matter either. I'll use Atlasworx & aics mags anyway.

Blueprinted; as in have it regulated to actual engineering specifications as set out in the blueprint. Mass production is always within 'tolerance'.

Just an FYI, there is a very reputable smith shop in the US that has indicated they are looking into making Tikka bolts. If and when that happens, things will be much nicer for us what with the single action length for everything Tikka.

PM me if you want the details from another forum.

Gotcha. What do you mean by getting it "blueprinted"?

Blueprinting" or truing an action is the process used to square the critical surfaces of a bolt action rifle receiver prior to barreling. This is done to enhance accuracy.
That's the definition I stole off Google.
I just know modern 700's usually require blueprinting to be a decent accurate custom rifle whereas tikkas are tight enough not to require the added gunsmithing.

The Tikka action is an excellent platform to build on. I have had a couple done now and absolutely love them. And aftermarket support is fantastic, and parts are not hard to get either, Stoeger Canada is the distributer and they have most everything, but they are EXPENSIVE for parts, but I have only once broken a bolt stop pin.

Just a general observation on LH action availability in the used market.
Folks who buy LH action rifles rarely sell them.

So LH action availability in the used market unless it is an estate sale will be scarce.
