Hi all,
I'm a PAL instructor, trying to replace some parts of my instructor's kit with something better. Would anyone know where I can find a small quantity of dummy rounds? Specifically I'm looking for a lead round nose (any caliber), a hollowpoint (any caliber), semi wadcutter or wadcutter (any caliber), a shotgun slug (any gauge, any length), and crimped dummy shotgun shells in 3" and 3 1/2", as well as any other good example cartridges. I thought about reloading it myself but the cost of getting the dies and materials for 500 rounds is way overkill just to get 1 or 2 of each. I'm hoping someone knows someone who mass produces ammo and can direct me to them, I'll pay shipping, the cost of the materials, and a bit in gratitude of course. Failing that, at least for the lead round nose, I have a small amount of .22 LR lead round nose, but I don't know how good of an idea it is to take a pair of pliers to them and then burning off the primer in a rifle on a range..namely how deformed the case will be for reseating. Any advice or ideas?
