Where to get a 10/22 hammer?

I have been phoning around Vancouver and the only place that has them only comes in a kit for like 250 bucks. Can't I just get the target hammer?

Your best bet would be to order one from the states. The stuff that russels or wholesale sports or other canadian retailers (as far as I know anyway) are way to expensiver. With the exchange rate beeing so good right now as well you will be able to get a good deal on a VQ, skeeter (this is what I have in my 10/22 and I really like it), or another hammber.

If your machining skills are any good you could also modify your factory hammer by just cutting some of the metal away where the "hook" is in the hammer and changing the angle by a couple degrees. If you mess up you could just order another. I have done this and got my trigger down to 2lbs or so. I also polished the seer, dissconector and hammer.

P and D Ent stock all the parts and Brownells in the US too. I bought some parts for my 1022 at Bits of Pieces in Delta. Barry does a lot of work for the target guys and seems to know his way around this stuff.
