where to get a firearm nickel chrome plated?

It requires a business licensed to work on firearms... so the vast majority of commercial businesses are out... you need to contact licensed gunsmiths and find out who they may know...

I will add, electroless nickel plating is excellent for firearms. I had excellent results with that many years ago...

There's nickel plating, a 19th Century attempt at rust prevention technology, that doesn't work well. There's chrome plating that is tacky. Plus there's industrial hard chrome that is a great finish for a firearm. Nickel chrome is purely decorative and protects your firearm against nothing.
Like guntech says, you can't just pop into a metal finisher's like we could before the FA. And it'll cost more if the smithy(who'll likely send it out anyway) does the disassembly.

I'm looking at getting a few firearms chromed out, could someone point m to a place where I can get that done? I'm from Alberta
Thanks

Contact user xtrail (may be spelled slightly different, can;t remember) on here. I believe works at a chrome shop and chromes Russian milsurps to sell on the forum. He also gold plates the triggers as well. I've seen SKS, SVT-40, and M38or M44's up in the milsurp section.

That statement is bullcrap at best.

Electroless nickel plating is excellent for firearms. It will help prevent rust very well. Before stainless actions were common, I used to have the action/bolt done, install a stainless barrel and they stood up well for many years.

I actually bought two of his rifles and he says has no more, and doesn't work at the shop anymore. He sure did good work though, I posted the question because I want more of these.
