A PCC in 40 is kinda pointless. If you just want it for target/plinking, a 9mm is much more cost effective. If you're going to compete, a 9mm is all that 's required. They're hard to find because only .001% of the population wants them.

I understand that logic entirely and I agree. I’m just in the unique position of having several thousand rounds of .40, that I’ll never be able dispose of with my one .40 cal pistol alone. Furthermore, I prefer to shoot 9mm in my pistols. A .40 cal PCC, would be an enjoyable way to dispose my rounds.

Several thousand rounds of 40 would be fun to get rid of through a pistol - invite a friend or three. Shooting it all through a PCC would leave you stuck with a 40cal PCC when you're finished. Don't my advice too seriously, I'm just an anti 40cal kinda guy, and 10mm makes me cringe.

I have been looking at the TNW ASR which is currently available in 9 ,40 and 45. Can’t decide which I want. I already load for all three and have thousands of 9 and 45 cases and a few hundred 40 cases. Bolts and barrels can be bought for caliber changes so I may just decide to get a couple calibers.

There is something immensely gratifying about the .40S&W in a PCC.
Some times a older Ruger pc4 pops up on the EE , unfortunately they're restricted by barrel

I checked their site, no 40 listed. 9mm, 10mm, and 45acp only.

Hi Point makes a 40 but that might not meet the OPs idea of quality... plus I'm not sure if any are in country right now.

The JR came in .40. The Ruger PC comes in .40, probably the best option. Add the ASR, Hi-Point 4095 and Krap-Tec Sub-2000 and that's all of your current options for something new.

Ruger no longer lists a 40sw PC on their site, and I'm pretty sure it's been gone from their site for a while. So I think you'll have a hard time finding one of those new, and I haven't noticed one on the EE so I'm thinking they don't come up for sale used very often either.

I thought I found one from a dealer when I googled it. Looks like their website is a bit deceiving and it's actually OOS. I didn't know Ruger ever made a NR run of the .40s for Canada to be honest. .40 benefits a lot from a longer barrel so I can see the appeal.

I stick to 10mm myself. The recoil impulse from a straight blowback system with a punchy cartridge like that isn't my favourite so nothing has ever stayed in my collection.

Only one I saw (that wasn't out of stock) was from Canadaammunition, and I'm 99%sure they're a scam site.

The only new/retail options in 40 that I've seen recently have been the TNW ASR and the KelTec Sub2000. I own both of these rifles (and I'm a big fan of both), but neither of mine are chambered in 40. These two rifles feel very different in handling and operation from one another, so handle before you buy if you can.

Both models can have issues out of the box. If I were buying new, I'd try either (or both), but I'd only buy from a retailer that will take care of you directly if you have any warranty issues (having to go through a distributor generally stinks). If you don't have a retailer you trust to handle this, I'd probably choose the KelTec since they have a reputation for great warranty service.

If buying used, I'd only consider one of these rifles if it had been thoroughly vetted by the previous owner (and someone that you trust).
