Where to get action bedded in Saskatchewan?

I've had the last couple of mine done in Regina at TNT.

They have a young fella who is 2 or 3 yrs out of school in the back there. He has done a custom rifle for me and a couple of re-chambers for me as well. The work he is doing is as good if not better than some well known custom builders.

Cheers!

How was the price? Turn around time?

Turn around was pretty good, but that was last winter. This time of year they get pretty crazy what with all the guys getting their hunting guns fixed up.

Priceing was pretty good as well. Under $100 if memory serves, more if you want pillars.

Chambering a new tube was $220 + tax installed on a Rem 700. So their prices are competitive with other smiths I have priced.

Cheers!

Where to get action, bedded in Saskatchewan

At first glance, I did read that title WITH the comma inserted.
Blurry vision? Wishful thinking?

Sorry................

Craig does great work. His turn around times seem pretty fair considering how busy he is as well. I honestly wouldn't mind waiting as opposed to sending it elsewhere.

Here is a picture of a BDL stock he bedded for my .22-243 Middlestead:

I had a 12 gauge barrel threaded for chokes at TNT and the young guy that did it was very nice, and did a great job. I wouldn't be worried about taking anything there to get done!

That just may be the nicest looking bedding job I have ever seen!

Usually guys try to make the bedding compound about the same color as the stock to blend in.

This work is so clean you want it colored differently just to highlight it!

Very Very nice.

A couple decades ago I used to take bedding jobs to Craige because I was scared he might starve to death if someone didn't. Now I take them to him because I'm embarrassed to mix Devcon when work like his is available. He is at the point now where he is turning away work, and it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

We need some more starveing artists.

It's nice to see him doing so well. Two years ago he rebarrelled a rifle for me. Brought it to him on tuesday, he called me that friday to pick it up. Had him put a barrelled action together for me for one of my projects just recently. He told me 6 weeks , called me 4 weeks later to pick it up. Craige does great work,is always great to deal with and really seems to care about what he is doing.

My rifle is going to him as soon as I have time. Busy combining now

I know a bunch of farmers (family, friends and clients), most of them didn't even buy fuel this year for harvest...... Most didn't get a crop in and those that did got flooded out.

I know one guy who was planning on seeding 30 fields, he only bothered to seed 2 and both of them flooded out in June.

I hope your yeilds fair better.

Cheers!

We got every thing seeded. Just started but yields aren't that great so far. I hope the rest of it is better

Craig Douglas for sure. I was down in the Cypress Hills area and there was some combining going on between there and Rosetown. Nice looking crops also.
