where to get aftermarket Savage Mark II stocks?

hey there,

I recently bought a savage Mark II FV SR and I love it http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/MARKIIFVSR

Problem is though the stock seems to drop quite a bit below the rifle. my scope is mounted as low as it can get but I'm still having to use my jaw as a cheek weld and is obviously affecting accuracy. when I do have a propper cheek weld I'm staring at the back of the picatinny rail.
Anyone know where to get better stocks for Mark II's that have an adjustable cheek weld or where that part of the stock is up higher more flush with the action?
I've read about a "boyds tacticool" but cant seem to find it.
or does anyone know about cheek riser kits that'll work on the factory stock?

That's why I went with the TRR-SR since we can't get the Boyds stocks :/

I have a MK II F and would love some sort of cheek riser as well. I maybe interested in some after market stocks too.

The only cheek riser I have seen is the DIP one (h t tp://www.diproductsinc.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=111998&CAT=3605), but they dont ship to Canada. (I did get their scope mount which looks and works awesome)

They cant ship that to Canada anymore. If you want the same stock give savage a call. I heard they can ship it up here.

I have a few of the rimfire hunter stocks from boyds and they are pretty good. Very nice to use.

The US state department said its not allowed out of the country 'nuff said. Reason may be because of the name, or they think its military technology. Why knows what is going through a leftists head

Any Boyd's stock under $100 can ship to Canada, EXCEPT the Tacticool which is now BATF restricted for export. Also, shotgun stocks are not retricted by the $100 limit.

There are many Boyd's stocks available for the MKII "E" version rifles... I dropped my FV-SR into a SS EVO... which is a nice handling (if funky looking) design... the RVT is a very nice stock that I have on a MKII HM2 rifle... Boyd's is your best bet for your MKII...

Check out Choate tools for the cheek riser, I have used them on many different rifles including the Savage tupperware stocks (which they match really well);
