Where to get BCM charging handle?

are they really needed? I know they are robust, but are they needed? I havebeen thinking of getting a few but cant help but ask myself, Have I ever bent a Armalite ,RRA or even a bushmaster?

Jamie,

I guess it depends on how much you are running your AR and how you charge it. Right now, I'm doing a lot of teaching with my AR and, upon examining the factory handle, I've noticed increased wear on one side of it. I cahrge the rifle using my support hand and by grasping mostly the latch and left side of the handle only.

Plus, the BCM are more robust than many of the factory offerings.

As to large vs. med. I'm looking for the medium but I'll take what I can get. I've read that these handles have a tendency to hang up on gear when the rifle is hanging or slung due to the size of the latch.

Tritium

I notice wear on one side of mine too, running stoppage drill and such.Hmmm makes me think I need one too(on a side note my Armalite shorty has put 30k rds down range on the same charging handle/upper ,three barrels and three bolts )

The BCM is made of 7075 billet aluminum unlike some other manufacturers who use 6061. It should not cause the excessive wear that could be caused by running a steel handle.

Also the T-handle is somewhat thicker and shouldn't run the risk of deforming like the thinner offerings. Pat Rogers did a good write up on them on another forum.
