Hello all, I've done my diligence to find an answer, only found USA sources, in after a couple O-rings that go under the grip screws for my 1911s, they are full sized Sig 1911s, I've looked in the local hardware store and nodda.
Anyone have a location I could find them?

Just google o rings and as long as you know the size it's no problem. I got 100 for my grip screws at a local industrial supply for less than 5 bucks. Because they are so small you aren't likely to find them at Home Depot or the like. Plumbing supplies might be good. Local is best because shipping will be 10 times the cost of the o rings. The instant you try to buy "grip screw o rings" you get reamed

Go to the local car parts store, like NAPA. They have a big tray display of O rings. Might have them that small.

What is the purpose of an O ring under a grip?

Just saw you are in Newfoundland. Maybe there is not a local NAPA store near you?

3 years ago we actually got a local Napa so her and nothing else besides the home hardware near me haha, and under the grip between the frame and the is meant to stop the chafing and all that when you're shooting but mine are underneath the screws after you put the grip on, it stops the movement from shooting

I needed o-rings for luber-sizer dies and didn't want to pay top dollar getting one at a time from Lyman. Figured out the sizes and got bags of 100 from Amazon for penny's a piece. Have enough for 3 lifetimes and it was probably less than just the shipping would have been from the specialty place.

Princess auto or any industrial supply shop should have o-ring kits for under $30, pretty handy to have around the house for other stuff too.

That is a good tip. I have needed them for carburetor float bowls and other things and wished I had some.

I will check Amazon for a kit, or Princess Auto and Shooting Supply, next time I am there.

Note; Just checked ebay. A 225 piece kit of various sizes, mailed from China - $3.65 see item # 254294156525

Grip screw sizes are usually not in kits like that. I think they are 1/8 i.d. And 1/4" o.d. Which aren't real common

I don't think I've ever needed metric orings, but good to have on hand for that price. Standard kits are probably around the same price online. Just be aware that cheap o-rings might not last in a carburetor, viton ones costore but are worth it for stuff like that.

Peavy mart id you have one has the kits also, don't think they go that small.
I got some itty bitty ones from somewhere one time, but as usual, forgot where, Carb shop,? as that is what they where for.
