Anybody know where to find a M14 (USGI) fiberglass stock would like to know where in Canada to find one cheap.

Don't mind the condition (will glass bed / refinish / paint anyway) so as long as the stock in usable condition that's fine.

Thx

you're not going to find "cheap" - from what i understand , fred's owner is under investigation ( fred is the dog)and or been convicted and may be doing jail time-that basically leaves a few others-fred was always a crap shoot anyway- moreover, with the m14 parts ban in place, it isn't going to happen- so it boils down to supply and demand- the guys on this side of the border who can import them know what a usgi fiberglas stock is worth, and they have to go through a lot of trouble to get one- what we REALLY NEED is an in country source-

I know that's why I said I don't mind the condition because I just can't afford to spending $150+ on a USGI stock to cut it up for experiment.

well, there is that crap shoot on fabsports site for 79 that says it needs paint primer and fiberglas repair- sounds like it needs more "refinishing" than the other 2- i know it's a gamble, but that's also within your price range- what were you intending to do-?- go maybe with a folder- well, i've got a folder on one of my israelis( one of the beretta ones that runs about 900 bucks on e-bay- not the reese) and it takes longer to fold/unfold than an ordinary stocked rifle- looks like a mini14 on steroids- also there's a STEEL ROD imbedded in the fiberglas just aft of the pistol grip- that makes a "conversion" hard to do-
