I have found non corrosive 7.62 x 39 not much more than corrosive. Now I would like to find non corrosive 7.62 x 54r?

Whats the price of it?

Canada Ammo maybe.

Their Web site is down right now (or maybe its just my connection) but they usually have decent prices on Non-Corrosive.

MFS and that "LVE" stuff from westrifle.ca is the only reasonably priced non corrosive 54r ammo ive found in this country. i havent tried the LVE yet. but the 185gr FMJ from SFRC is around 50-60cents a shot. causes over gassing on my SVT (on 1.1 the casings fly like 25ft lol) and i have no idea how accurate it is yet. BUT it is clean :) i dont have to worry about rust in my SVT anymore.

Neither of the cases of the PRC machinegun ammo I bought was corrosive but I cleaned my guns like it was JIC.Harold

Buy the ammo you like, and clean your rifles properly. The more you do it, the better at it you get. It is just a part of my shooting routine now. Another advantage is that while cleaning a rifle, you are automatically giving it a mechanical once over as well. It was while cleaning my Chicom SKS last time out that I noticed that my aftermarket spring loaded firing pin was broken. The rifle worked flawlessly, but it was a potentially dangerous situation. Had I not cleaned my rifle I might well have not noticed it the next time I used it, as the broken end of the pin did not start to fall out the front of the bolt until I was taking the bolt out.

Oh, and by the way .... an aftermarket spring loaded firing pin is also not needed, or even desirable IMHO.

As for the Mosin, they are like the easiest rifles on earth to clean. Shoot. Clean. Repeat.

There was an incident with LVE and БПЗ blanks about 2 weeks ago during public blank fire event back in the old country where more than 20 rifles/machine-guns suffered permanent damage. Some SVT/AVT rifles literally blew up. Brass didn't look like it was reloaded, it looked brand new. There was about 4 grams of gunpowder in those things. Incident is still being investigated and it got me thinking...

interesting, the only reason why I havent bought some is that it is 200gr, and 200gr seems a little rough in my books for plinking. The 185gr throws me around a lot too, but im a very light guy.

There is no blank LVE that we imported into the country. This was someone reloading it or buying it from USA. All of westrifle ammo is good.

Where is the old country? Russia? or do you mean someplace local in Canada?
