where to look?

Where does everyone get there parts, barrels, bedding compound for decent prices? Is some stuff illegal to order in from the U.S.? I would rather find stuff close to home, but sometimes the price is too high. I'm starting on my SS synthetic 10/22 and I'm going to need bedding compound, and I might get a new barrel, but I want to look around first. Thanks in advance.

"...Is some stuff illegal to order in..." Any firearm that is prohibited. The 10/22 is not on the U.S. 'restricted for export list' though.
Barrels purchased Stateside do require a U.S. export permit(that takes a Canadian import permit to get. It's free, but takes time) no matter what the value. Our side really doesn't care too much. You'll pay duty(NAFTA does not apply), both taxes, plus broker's fees and shipping.
For bedding material just buy an Acraglas kit and follow the directions on the box.

For bedding, use Devcon Steel Putty and you can get that from Acklands-Grainger.
