Well I caved and bought my new Hand Cannon ( S&W 460V)

Seems like the only place i can find 460 ammo is wolverine with crazy shipping to where I live :(

Ammo source has 454 for 30 $ (Plan on reloading one I get some brass) Any Help on the right direction to go?

Thanks in advance

Order your brass from Double Tap Sports and just reload from the outset.

This is a good option, only down side is you'll be waiting a while for the brass to come in.

I would help to know where you are located? But you have to remember, 460 S&W is expensive, the cheapest I've ever found was Hornady for $44/20rds.

I knew it wouldnt be Cheap, Id rather have some factory ammo for brass anyways....So any ideas on where to find it that wont charge 35$ for shipping of two boxes

The only place would be CanadaAmmo, but they are out of stock. Shipping ammo is never cheap and there is usually a hazmat fee that is the same amount whether it's 2 box's or a 1000rds.

Knowing your location would help, if you're in S. Ontario there are a few shops that stock it.

Truthfully, it's not going to happen. Bulk .454 Casull and .460 don't exist. Heck, finding a 500 round case of .45 Colt would be hard.

WTB add will help. I got my 454 brass from a guy on this forum. Great guy to deal with. Local gun store got some for me. Best price was the remington. You won't go through alot with a revolver.

FYI Marstar has .454 Casull Winchester JHPs in stock. For a case of 200 it's $332.35 or $1.66 ea. I dunno what they charge for shipping. Winchesters are pretty light on the recoil scale for .454 loads though. Go with Gold-Dots if you ever happen upon them. They're a lot of fun. :D

Lanz Shooting Supplies has some Hornady 200gr FTX in stock and Al Simmons has some Federal 275gr with nickel cases in stock, only 2 places that I know of and that ship.
