Drop in the follower. Now, carefully insert 10 rounds (Might have to drop a pencil on the follower to keep cartridges from falling out).
Once you get all 10 in... drop in your ruler and presto; add a couple mm to make up for the rivet diameter.
The next hurdle after you have drilled holes and riveted is the fact that the mag spring will catch on the rivet; for this you file down the rivet inside of the mag body so that it can clears the spring but still block the follower.
