Where to purchase 10 Gauge brass shells?

West of most places....and in Alberta
I'm looking for 2 7/8s (or secondly 2 5/8s) all brass shells in this big old gauge. Preferably the kind that takes large pistol primers. But I'll gladly take the older style as well. Going to be used in a black powder shotgun.

Anyone with a contact in Canada??

no one in canada but track of the wolf has some marked parker bros for about $8 each though(remeber shotshell hulls are free export from the US)

i have some winchester but there not for sale :p

I just spoke with T Of W salesman on the phone. Apparently for export these are technically legal to send. US laws, shotshells okay, but rifle brass not so without export paperwork. But the US border/customs are too stunned to know the difference (in his words) and seize every single shipment of brass for export. For small quantities of brass the legal hassle is not worth the bother for the shipper.

I'll take Mooncoon's advice and contact Jerry.

If they won't ship to Canada,and they're not ITAR regulated, then ship to an outlet post office and bring across thyself. IF! IF! IF they will not be on a no go as far as ITAR!
 
Hi Brutus, I,m TurkJohn on CGN. I have a friend with 100 year old shellbelt full of 10ga brass. 3 makers in 2 different sizes. Are you interested in getting hold of him derectly via email? Thx, John
 
10 gauge hulls

call bilozir in alberta, they deal with this stuff, he sells brass and paper hulls
i believe they are set up for 209 primers, prices are fair, and usually has stuff in stock, he also sells wads and shot, also the crimping tool for the paper hulls, his website is bilozir.net, check it out
 
non of these guys are going to have them like i said there is right now only 2 people making/selling them rocky mountain cartridge with turned shells and track of the wolf anyone else carrying brass shells are magtech/cbc and they do not make 10ga i made that bold because no one seems to get it

the only other option is to find old remington(marked UMC) or winchester or any other company that made brass shells back in the day

i have about 20 in both 2 7/8" and 2 5/8" but like i said in the thread before not for sale im waiting for a nice double 10 to come looking for a new home :p i paid about $5-$10 each this was just before track came out with the ones thay have now :(

theres going to be a few different primer sizes and types used on these older shells large psitol,some sort of berdan and some sort of shotgun type primer the large pistol can be done easily the berdan can be drilled out to .209 and the shotgun primers type may fit .209's idk

look at gunshows theres more out west then in ontario im sure you can find some i got most of mine from out west

or have a box from track sent to a friends and then have it sent here it would be best to have the reg's about shotshell hulls taped to the box and one copy inside it mite cost a bit more but it will be worth it

antique guy, there is a sxs 10 gauge at corlanes as of last week. I Did not pay much attention to it, but it looked nice and was priced in the 300s IIRC. I am sure they would send pics.
. I am going down next week to pick up a choke job if you want me to give it the dd critical go over.
