Just wondering if anyone knows where to buy norinco ar mags that are internally pinned ( no fugly rivets ) thanks!

I havent found a decent lar mag to stick in the gun, its a t97. The grey one i have jams up like crazy, and is also hard on the bolt catch

But are they internally pinned?

No, they are riveted but usually they are done well, if not a couple min with a file will fix it right up so it doesn't fit too tight in the magwell.
Cosmetically, the rivet will be inside the magwell and i find it hard to imagine your that picky with cosmetics if you bought a Norinco.

I've seen gen 2 pmags for $17 recently and Norinco mags for $45. The pmags are 10x the quality.

the op is smart in looking for internally pinned. the 6 gen3 pmags i have are #### pinned and do not frop free.

Sometimes that is the fault of the rifle and not the mag. What rifle are you using them in and why don't you just file down the rivet a little if it's causing the problem and it's not just a tight magwell? Or remove it and properly countersink a new one?

I actually prefer to have to pull the mag out as long as it isn't too stiff. All drop free does is make you have to pick up mags later. Unless you are competing it isn't really necessary to have them drop free. Your mags will last longer and stay cleaner.

I tried both the D&H mag and a C-Products mag in my buddies 97. Both fit well.
The poly mags I have did not fit well. We tried my pmag, tapco, and tangodown.

I would image, any decent 5/30 USGI style mag should work well.
Check One Shot Tactical, Questar, and S&J Hardware.
