I recently put a UTG scope mount with the stripper clip rail on my M14. I noticed (and realized this was common at a recent M14doc clinic) that the stripper clip guide rail sits lower than the rail that replaces the handguard. As my plan was to mount a Millet DMS with one ring on the scout rail and the other on the stripper clip guide rail, I don't think this will work as the scope will be canted up. I was talking with a fellow CGN at M14doc's clinic the otehr day and his solution was Burris Zee Rings as they allow you to correct for slight offset. Only problem is I can't seem to find any in 30mm... Anyone have any idea where to get them from? Much thanks

Sweet, lotsa options then. Thanks :) Guess the next question would be if anyone has any experience in using these rings with the M14 platform, ie what height to go with? I was looking at Burris' site and the info they have say the medium rings are .205" from basically the top of the rail to the bottom of the scope tube with the extra high ones being .582". My concern is in having the scope clear my rear sight... Even with my rear sight dialed way down, it seems that with the extra high rings, the tube of the scope would just clear the sight, not to mention the larger rear part of the scope?

A few years ago, I ordered mine right from the factory. They sent me the wrong ones and sent me a new pair free so I have two. I'm not using the 30mm High - Matte Black ones. What height are you looking for? These are brand new and have four adjustment rings and allen wrench included. PM me if you're interested and we can talk.

Shooters choice has the mediums (which is what I'm currently using).

Hope this helps you.

Mystic will probably be the closest to you man, I'm going with the highs, I had my scope mounted with a pair of leupold prw highs and it cleared everything alright. I'm expecting the same results in the zees. Although I'm just using the 1 inch not the 30mm. Hopefully they ship soon and I'll let you know how it works.
