I'm currently waiting for my pal in the mail. The problem is that I don't know where I will store my gun that I want to buy!

I'm moving into residence at ubc in September, and they have a no weapons policy. Dvc doesn't let members store guns there either.

Any ideas? Thanks!

family who can do it for you is best imo, after that a friend who already own guns and just use their safe if they have room.

if that fails too then rental storage is looking like your best bet imo.

do you belong to a range? if so possibly store it with them? heck, finding one near your school would be awesome no?

I was out of the country on a contract from 18 months. I talked to my local police (in a small town) and they stored them for me.
They charged $10/firearm per month. It added up to a bit over time, but it allowed me to keep my prohibs and remain grandfathered when I came back.
Also I didn't have to worry about them going missing, rusting, or risk a safe storage charge while away.

Ian.

I don't have any gun-friendly relatives, so that avenue won't work.

I do have a friend who has his PAL (non-restricted), how much hoopla would it be to keep it at his place (with my own lock on the box + trigger)? I remember reading that you have to sign something from the CFO that he doesn't have access to it?

Your buddy's place is your best option. Neither of you need to do anything for a non-restricted. His PAL covers you both.
