So I've been thinking about picking up a 22 conversion for my SAM Military Enhanced. In my general area, I have two options:

Advantage Arms Standard for about $400
Kimber's conversion kit for about $450

Does anybody have any experience with either set? I would prefer a kit as supposed to another gun because I want as much trigger time with my 1911 trigger as possible. I also don't want to deal with another restricted transfer.

Thanks,

Wanstalls has the Wilson but it's even more expensive. Iirc someone had a batch of Marvels a while back. The GSG are pretty good, but, if you upgrade the sights they start to get close to what you'd pay for a clean used Advantage.

The Marvel's would likely be very pricy as they start at around US$400-500. As for the GSG kit, they seem to be unobtainium.

Before you buy, make sure you know if it fits your gun because SAM's are hand fitted and don't generally accept slides and barrels that interchange with other 1911's.
