As title states - 1911 gsg vs glock 44 vs ?

I have heard the blueline solutions 1911 is good.

Looking for something for the wife that has some weight but isn’t consistently jamming. We rented her a glock 44 which she didn’t mind but was still a bit thick in her hand.
Thanks cgn

I only have the GSG but it works fine if I use MiniMags, which I do. If you are looking outside of the two you suggested, I agree with the Buckmark.

My GSG works fine, if it gets cranky its just saying it needs some cleaning. My daughter's got a Beretta U22 and it runs well also.

I'm going to break ranks and say get a revolver. I had my fill of jam-o-matic fussy pistols/magazine/ammo combinations. No extra magazines to purchase. A revolver loads and fires anything from 22 shorts to hyper velocity LR's without hiccups. I picked up S&W model 17 and a speed loader with a loading block. I use it in my local speed steel matches. Fun stuff.

I'm pretty happy with my Smith and Wesson SW22 Victory.

I have the Performance Centre version and am very happy with it as well. I intend my for competition which is likely not what the OP is looking for. The standard version I am sure would do and is a lot less expensive. The Ruger Standard and Browning Buck Mark are both very good pistols. Both have been around for years and are known for the accuracy and dependability.

If I was looking for a very good used .22 pistol the Browning Challenger would be on my list. It really is just an early version of the Buck Mark. My son has my Challenger now and it continues to shoot as good as it did back in 1967 when I bought it.

Anyone of the pistols I mentioned are worth looking at. All four will give you a lifetime of shooting and likely well into the next.

I would avoid the kits unless you already have the primary pistol.

I have shot all four and owned two of them/

Accuracy wise all three shoot where the barrel is pointing which is to say misses are on the shooter and the ammo. All four are as dependable as tomorrows sunrise. The Ruger is reported to be the hardest to take down for cleaning. The other three are easy peesee. All four are extremely well made.

Take Care

I would suggest a Beratta 92FS .22 but I think they have been sold out for some time. I probably have 800 rounds through ours. Started with a box of minimags to break it in and have since shot a mix of Federal white box and Herter's bulk .22 and it has never had a single hiccup. I like that it's the same size, ergonomics and controls as the 9mm.

I had a GSG 1911 and found it to be unacceptably inaccurate and only marginally reliable. I told my self that if I ever purchased another .22 pistol it would be a Ruger, Browning or even better yet - a CZ Kadet.

My Beretta 71 is totally reliable with any LR ammunition except CCI Quiets ( not enough recoil to work the action), not the slightest bit fussy and quite accurate. Extra magazines are very hard to find, unfortunately.
I have a Ruger 22/45 Lite that really likes the cheap bulk Federal Automatch. Jams on occasion with AR tactical, but likes Mini-mags. You basically can't go wrong with Mini-mags.
