Which 22 pistol to buy?

get the Ruger they make different models of the mark3 and it likes cheep bulk ammo some of the other hand guns are picky.

Was at Cabelas again today in Edmonton. 2 GSG 1911 were there, one model all black and the model with walnut grips. They also had a few extra mags for sale. Still not on website though.

The Ruger grows on you when you find out how well it shoots, eats any sort of ammo and lasts for years with nothing more than reasonably regular cleaning and lube. The Browning is darn near as good but I've seen them develop "attitude" more often than the Rugers. They were not my guns so I can't say what the issues were.

I was in the same boat half a year ago only mine was between the buckmark and mark 3. I wanted something very reliable and accurate and IMO thoes 2 were the best options. I ended up getting a buckmark camper stainless over the mk3 Strictly because it was easier to strip. Over 4000k later still running great with 0 malfunctions.

A few people have mentioned the 22/45 as well. Shoots just as good as the MK lines but more 1911 looking. I have the older version of the 22/45 and love it i will shoot anything and shoot it well.

When we started shooting I bought a sig p226 classic,,I love my gun,,my wife wanted a Beretta Neous and right now its my go to 22 range pistol,,sleek,,smooth,,and never a hiccup. The neous looks will grow on you,,accurate and functional right out of the box.

I am not sure if they sell the Smith and wesson 22-A but for the money they are also a great gun to own. For the amount of certificates you have you can get their more upscale wooden grip model with a better grade barrel on it. I have had one and it was very good. The Beretta Neo's is not as pretty but is a very reliable gun and does feel very good in the handfit area of things. I have dealt both of these off as I now have a S&W M41 and a M46 which I will never part with. :)

Speaking of the NEOS, I like the looks, but the trigger is gritty, and unpredictable, and the sights are atrocious. Then again, when you are somewhat of a connoisseur of .22 Pistols, as I am, then you tend to be a bit fussy.

Nice mention of the 22A, and I agree. I need to put one of these in my safe someday. What a great little shooter, if only a 7" BBL model was available. Good trigger with almost no work required and decent sights.

I purchased the Neos this past weekend and we put about 500 rounds of everything we could find through it, the only issue we had was with the winchester bulk pack. handled the federals, and the american eagles, as well as the vipers, loved the cci stingers. for my first purchase of a handgun it seemed pretty accurate out to 25 yards.
I think it looks cool though.

The Winchester bulk pack I found was pretty inconsistency at its finest. Sometimes you get a good box and sometimes the box sucks.

Where did you get it ? Does it have the 6" or 4.5" barrel ?
