Which .22 to go with?

I've got to agree with formerfarmer. I don't shoot a tonne of .22 pistol, but have spent plenty of time with both my Buckmark and my g/f's Ruger over the last 6ish years; I've literally had only one jam in that time (which shocks me in a good way). Maybe I'm just lucky, but that's been my experience.

I prefer the trigger on the Buckmark but the firing pin/assembly is more impressive on the Ruger. (Upgraded hers to a Valquartson and now everything's awesome.)

x2 for the browning bl22 also the sr22 is fun (alot of paintball accesories fit at a fraction of the cost it adds to the cool factor) and for a pistol i have a s&w 22a that shoots accuratly and is not ammo picky it has well over 10000 rounds thrugh it with nothing more than regular cleaning. for very accurate shooting i use a cz 452 with a good scope and a changed trigger spring. all shoot cheap ammo very well. hope this helps and happy shopping

I went with a smith and wesson 22A as my first gun. Bought it from one of the dealers on here for a decent price. I've had it since Jan and shoot about 500 rounds a week with it. So far no problems other than the odd FTF.

Which one to get

For a handgun, you could also look at the Ruger bearcat or Single-six. WIth the Single-six you get the bonus of a 22 WMR option. As far as a rifle goes, the CZ or the 10/22 with the heavy barrel would be my choices.
