I loaded up a batch of the 150 gr TSX for my .30-06, nothing wrong with that weight at all! It's a perfect deer+coyote 'opportunity' round if you're hunting a new area and might see a deer at 250+ yards, or at 50, or might get into a pack of 'yotes. Loaded to 3050-3100 fps you'll get ballistics very close to the definitive 130 grain load in the .270 Win, with a lot more frontal area and excellent penetration.
It's my go-to weight in the .308 also, but love the extra oomph from the '06 loading.
