Does it reduce recoil?

Is the backstrap exposed?

Those are Herrett grips, they just fit my hands well, I like nice grips, and yes, the back strap is exposed. Regards, Richard

There is a certain grace to the S&W revolvers. The styling of the Rugers is definitely more blocky and utilitarian. But if I wanted to use one as a hammer I would pick the Ruger.

Its Christmas time, be nice. In addition to a 4" Smith 29 I have a Ruger 44 Flattop and you're hurting my feelings.
