Which 44mag should I keep?

I recently decided I wanted another 44mag carbine. After buying a Rossi Puma in the EE I found a Ruger 44 carbine locally. I decided to buy the Ruger as I had not received the Rossi in the mail yet, anyway I have both now and am having a hard time deciding which to keep. I know its a matter of personal preference but which one you you keep?

I like the full wood stock, easy choice for me. But you should shoot both and then decide.

I like them both so I'd keep them both.

I like the old Rugers ...

If it were an old Winchester lever 92 converted to 44 Mag
or a Browning 92 ... might be a different choice.

Just because of the mannlicher-style stock, I'd have to go with the Ruger

I would stick with the Ruger, I find lever guns a little awkward to operate. I am looking for a IMI Timberwolf in .44 Magnum, I think I'm dreaming.

If you were to try cowboy action shooting (if you did you would be hooked) the lever gun would be useful. It depends how good it/they worked.

The reason I'm having trouble is that the Rossi is alot slicker than any other lever 44 I've owned, granted they were all model 94's. Another thing the Rossi has in its favor is the trigger, no creep and a light trigger compared to my model 94's 10 lbs. The rugers trigger is not as good, some creep and a little heavier.

Ruger, but if you keep the other I will take the Ruger.

Have had Ruger & Rossi, kept the Rossi because it was stainless, and I wanted to use it as a truck gun. The Rossi's are nice guns overall, don't think you really give up much of anything, other than the ability to mount a scope.

I say keep em both. But I also believe that you can't have too many guns.

Most tend to regret selling guns after they have done so. And the guy you sold it to, won't sell it back.

Well, I've made my decision, I'm going to stick with the Rossi so I can shoot cast bullets, thanks for all your input, it was a tough one for me to decide.

I would keep whatever one is more versatile in terms of handloads.

woohooooo I saw it in the adds and could not help but jump on it ,I sold my carbine about six years ago and have regretted ever since,thanks for helping replace one of my lost guns now if i can find a 338 lapua mag in a sako trg I will almost have replaced some of the guns lost over time to friends that borrowed and never returned.
