lots of folks have used or been exposed to petersoli 4570s in rolling block and highwall models just not me there is a big difference in cost ...i expect due to design costs etc what i need input on is the performance of one over the other ....someone has some experience... thanks

Depends on your use.The high wall is t he stronger of the two if you plan on reloading with stronger than factory smokeless reloads and probably the more accurate of the two as well .

I've had and used both . They both have their good points . Like chasseur says , the high wall is stronger , but what you intend to do with the rifle has more relevance . I used a rebuilt Swedish RB in 45/70 to take a few animals with hard cast 400ish gr bullets , it worked perfectly . I also had a Browning B78 in 45/70 that shot fairly hot reloads into very small groups and accounted for a few Moose . Either one will take game reliably , the RB doesn't scope easily , so iron sights will be your only realistic option . I guess it's more down to personal choice and what you expect to do with the rifle , no easy answer .
