Isn't the TX200 the rifle everything else is compared to? I'd say go for it...

And you would be entirely correct.

Candocad.

All these carry the same one year warranty like a Walmart toaster....

At least Airforce has a lifetime warranty and has your back being in the US.

Well have a few friends that waited MONTHS to have their highend expensive airgun leaks an indexing issues dealt wth.

The thought that for all that money you get a 1 year warranty floors me.....

I had the chance to play around with a FX Royal

I liked the built quality and accuracy
The repeatable power adjuster was a nice feature, you can easily tone it down to a basement & backyard friendly 600fps, to full power
It's regulated. It got decent shot counts

The Impact had these features and added the bullpup design and you could easily switch caliber (if need be)

Thank god, the US got theirs before we did...
Ready up on the US (and European) forums, it seemed like many were getting the equivalent of a pre-production rifle, with issues that needed to be ironed out...

I don't mind speeding $ on a rifle, as long as it work. Some people enjoy fiddling with their airguns, tinkering with seals/regulator/adjusting/filing stuff... I don't. I like to shoot.
For $2600, I would expect it to work great from the get go. And since I live out in the boonies, having to ship a rifle back to a dealer (even if the service is great) would be a pain in the neck...

I know many people have them, and they've worked good... But didn't want to risk been one of the unlucky one.

There is definitely a lot to that rifle. Not sure if you've seen this video yet or not.

Hadn't seen that video.
I've seen they came out with a MK2... But I'm not sure I'd be willing to give it a try... at least, not until it's been out for a while.

The 3 air rifles I'm kind of lusting over right now are the

Steyr Challenger HFT
- Known quality, regulated, accurate
- Simple enough to modify between 7.5J and 16J

Kind of pointless up here since we can't have the built in moderator
Shot count is kind of low
No simple way to adjust power... but so darn cute

AA TX-200
I'm kind of addicted to PCP... but...

I ordered a TX200 and will post some pics when it arrives. The FX Dreamline looks like an interesting PCP rifle.

The Air Arms TX200 is an excellent choice. You should be very pleased.

A lot of guys swear by the one piece mounting system that grips the dovetails for about 4" in total. They also have the recoil stop pin that screws down into the divot in the receiver.

The rings I ordered have the stop pin.

Thanks for all the posts and suggestions gentlemen. My rifle arrived today and I'm liking it so far. The stock was hard to say no to.

Congratulations. That's a very nice looking air rifle.

Now, just as with .22LR, the search for its favourite pellet(s) can begin. As a suggestion, a good place to start is JSB, Air Arms branded pellets (made by JSB, but slightly different), and H&N Field Target Trophy.
