Which American weapon would you have used in WW2

I fired a Thompson full auto a few years ago. So much muzzle climb it was unwieldly.

M3, M1 Garand Sniper, and a 1911.

actually, i found the thompson had minimal muzzle climb due the 12 pound weight- maybe you were positioned improperly-the m14, on f/a is a different story

Short ones was all I could handle and I'm not a small guy.

Not in the poll, but you did ask which American weapon I would want to use. If I had a choice, it would have to either be Little Boy or Fat Man.

Very few FTFs/FTEs and I'd probably only have to fire a few shots before the surrenders starting coming in.

That's nice but one needs the delivery system as well, as I doubt UPS will deliver said items.
