which ar do the us military use

Neither the U.S. military nor CF use an AR15. They use a variation of the M16A2. Looks the same, but internally different. The CF uses rifles, known as the C7/C7A1 and C8, made by Diemaco in Kitchener, Ont.
No, you can't have one. Diemaco, now Colt Canada, is specifically prohibited from making or selling anything for the civilian market.
The closest you can get to a C7A1 is an AR15 with a flat top. They're restricted too.

You can buy a civilian version of the M4A1 carbine made by Colt. It's called the LE6921 (14.5" barrel) or LE6920 (16.1" barrel). But heads up, you're going to need deep pockets, they're averaging about $2500 for the LE6920 for a stock used one in the Equipment Exchange these days. I haven't ever seen a LE6921 for sale. But apparently they exist somewhere out there...

What brand of ar do they use and can we in canada buy the same one they use but I know it will not have auto.

They use a combination of M16A4s and M16A2s manufactured by FNMI in South Carolina with a sprinkle of Colt-made M16A2/A4s and the M4 and M4A1 carbines, which are made exclusively by Colt Defense. You can buy AR-15s very similar in configuration to US military guns minus the selective-fire capability of course. I've been building clones of US-military M16s for a couple years using either genuine Colt parts or others close to the military specification (i.e. LMT brand).

My first, an M16A4 (Rock River Arms Standard A4 rifle as base with a crap-load of authentic US-issue gear, such as KAC M5 RAS rail, SureFire light, Aimpoint Comp M2 etc.):

M4 clone (built around an LMT 14.5" upper receiver, standard LMT carbine lower, Knight's M4 RAS and a load of Colt parts - sling adapter, M16 bolt and carrier, carry handle, buffer tube, buffer and so on):

And my latest, a replica of the Mk 18 carbine. Built on a LMT lower and 10.5" upper:

here's my colt... tried to do a simple usmc copy of the 20 incher they carry around :) also KOS/Surefire/spectorgear/eotech/etcetc
