Which AR would you choose?

I am looking to purchase my first AR and have narrowed my search down to 2 choices. I am seriously considering the Stag Arms 3R LE or the Sig Sauer RM400-16B. Both are very close in price and are equipped equally well. The Stag has a better trigger (from some what I have heard doing some research) and lifetime warranty through Arms East but the Sig Sauer has a very solid reputation as well so what would you choose? Any first hand experience with one or both rifles would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

IMHO you are crazy if you buy anything other than the Colts irunguns are selling right now. For the money they can not be beat. The Diemaco (Colt Canada) are beauties, but cost almost twice as much!

Don't say you're worried about warranty service buying from irunguns... There are ZERO issues with any Colt AR.

Why shouldn't you be worried about warranty issues?

Because quality guns have good interchangability of parts. what usually breaks on ars? Extractors? firnig pins? bolt heads? All ar parts are easy to source and unless you go with the fancy stuff like piston guns with propietary carriers, or knights style upgraded bolts are not that expensive. Quality ars generally don't have trouble.

Sure, all parts are interchangeable and not that expensive, but a free warranty replacement part will always win ;)

I would be going for the Colt through IRG NOW. Given your mentions, I would personally go Stag before Sig (just me). I like my PSA and NEA - if I were buying another right now it would be Colt through IRG or considering Colt Canada.

Not if the rifle costs significantly more. If they are equal or comparablish in price then absolutely. Otherwise you already paid extra for the warranty up front.

On a sidenote OP the Stag is an excellent choice.

How long do you wait for free warranty parts? I have a fair number of consumable parts such as springs, detents, extractors and ejectors. Total cost was less than $100, but I am up and running in minutes instead of weeks.

just curious why Stag? Is it because of the warranty? Not meaning anything with the question...just wondering...
I've been doing some research like crazy and I've narrowed it down to the kac sr15 lpr if its still available in a month or the stag 3gr now.
Both offer what I really need right out of the box, trigger, barrel, the kac is 1000 some dollars more hence why I would need an extra month but has the kac name backing and accuracy although I'm not sure with what loads, stag has a 1 in 8 that would be good with regular bulk factory ammo and a good enough comp.
So its a toss up at this point, but im leaning stag unless someone has a horror story they want to tell me.

If Stag 3G, I dont think you need to worry about the Plus package unless the BCG needs to be upgraded.

The 3G is pretty nice.

3 Gun/Service Rifle ready out of the box.

Most of the Stags we get in Canad ARE the plus package, or civillianized "export Government" guns. I think you'd have a tough time getting a base gun out of Arms East, the specs on the 0R are pretty much everything you could ask for, right out of the box.

Thanks for all the advice guys! I never really considered the Colt but after the first couple of posts I looked into them and found nothing but excellent feedback from owners. I ended up purchasing the last black LE6920 from IRUNGUNS Canadian site yesterday. I am now waiting for it to be shipped so a big thank-you to all who replied!
