Which Ballistic Software?

I run several for PC Sierra Infintity and Exbal for PDA I use Hourus Vision ATRAG and Exbal .Sierra Infinity is a good program ,excellent libary of projectiles

The best package I have ever purchased was from
Recreational software inc.

It goes way beyond simple ballistics and I find it invaluable

Exbal (or Nightforce, which is Exbal) on my Dell Axim X51v PDA ;)

Gets my .308 out to 1300 yds quite nicely :p

Do online calculators count.

I use the external ballistics calculator at ww.biggameinfo.com

Maybe way less info than what you experienced hands are looking for but the basics are there.

Ballistic: FTE for the iPhone has been the greatest piece of ballistic software that I've ever used. The software producer is always improving and updating the software, which is a free update, and the program only cost me $15 in the first place :)

This program has allowed me to make my longest cold bore hit on an animal so far- 942 yards on a coyote. I just punch in the variables, the program spits out the corrections and I dial it into the turrets. Easy enough. The hard part is dealing with the friggin' wind and mirage at extreme range, not calculating the elevation correction.

I use JBM to make my range cards. It's free and it's accurate.

I use Quickload for "load testing" while still at home.

For "take to the range" software, I don't use any so any interjection would be a moot point on my behalf.

FTE? Couldn't find any info on the Apps page.

I bought Bryan Litz book "Applied Ballistics For Long Range Shooters" which comes with "Point Mass Ballistic Solver" CD. After reading the book and trying the program I sent my RCBS Load and Sierra Infinity I5 to moth balls.
