So I have a 308 donor action coming so I can finally start my prs build. I'm thinking of making it a 6.5cm due to it being a bit easier to find it seems but was wondering what everyone is using for a barrel. I'm thinking a heavy palma but looking for some suggestions.

Thanks

If you're building a rifle optimized for PRS go heavy. Most of mine are M40 or MTU. Straight tapers are popular as well. For a PRS specific rifle there's really no downside to going heavy unless you have some kind of health issue/injury and you can't move it around.

Go big or go home. Kreiger 17 heavy varmint contour.

We do a pile with a modified Heavy Varmint in the kreigers. 8 Inch long shank
Almost do as many in straights it seems these days to. Average gun is approaching 24 lbs in the US

For PRS only, go heavy. I'm running one of the modified HV/MTU barrels furtaker mentioned above. It sits rock solid on any barricade.

Don't think IBI is the only good barrel available in Canada. There is plenty of stock of Krieger, Hawk Hill, Bartlein, and others if you know where to look.
