Which Beretta do you own ?

Bellero

I really like those grips, nice color...they didn't come with the gun? they're too nice for that...did they ?
You also can see the dif between the USA Inox and the Italy ... the Italy model come with Inox safety and slide release.
Very Nice

Does the red dots of the sights help or hinder?

I have to go to work right now ....need more money

:)

I ordered the grips from Armeria Brignoli in Italy.

Did you know the following thread existed? You'll like it, tons of pics in there.

I'm dying to pickup a beretta. But my two demands are made in Italy and straight dust cover. However after doing some research it seems the USA model only has the straight dust cover and the Italian one has switched to the slanted one.

Can you guys confirm this for me? I know many argue that the build quality is the same, but I've gotta have the Italian one first. Inox isn't so much an issue, I've been leaning towards the black one anyways. But if I could satisfy both of my urges I'd be in heaven. Is used the only way to go to do this?

Hey super,

Go for it.
I'm doing just that. Buying used (previously loved) :)
Most people buy the gun , use it for 50 to 300 rds and then leave it sit in the safe till a new toy comes along.

So what do I do is bring take to the seller , look over the gun. You'll know if it's been beaten, you can tell. Ever see a Police Beretta...they either have a lot of holster wear (which is ok) ok you can tell they used it as a hockey puck and then some. (that's when you pass) but most of the time , it's almost mint. Just make sure you know your prices. AND if ever you have a doubt bring a friend or pass on that Beretta and pick another.

Good luck

And come post a picture of your new toy. I'd like to see what you bought

Aahh now you tell me lol

Are you gonna mind if I buy the same grips as you ?

Thanks for the tip

:)

I dunno why they don't make the other thread a sticky? there's lots of Berettas lovers on CGN.

As for the grips, go ahead and get them, they were not exclusively made for me. Brignoly has excellent customer service and fast shipping too.

If I were to choose my next Beretta pistol . It would be one of these

Beretta Stock : They say made for IPSC
Slide safety : easier to get.
Front bushing to stabilize the barrel for tighter groups.
Brigadier heavier slide
All steel
Extended mag release
Oh, alsmost forgot they're single action instead of double.

I'm looking for an ipsc gun and I'm not a fan of the glock (it's an amazing gun but just doesn't fit me right), the CZ doesn't appeal to me and between the sig and beretta my heart melts for the beretta. However I thought the 92FS/M9 was a double-action to single action, no? Which one is the single action?

Also when I pick up a new gun pictures will be had and posted :D:D

Beretta 92S bought on the 80's. I used it as my duty pistol in the South African Police Reserve, in the 80's-90's. At that time SA was starting to manufacture the Z88 a Beretta clone and issue to army and senior police. We where issued beat up Walters, that I decided where not something I wanted to bet my life on, so carried my own. Now SA have the Vector SP series, Beretta 92 internals and magazine.

well i got a model 96 with dragon fire stainless barrel picked it up as a companion gun to go with my oh so sweet berreta carbine in 40sandw but iam not sure of the quality of aftermarket barrel it seems to have an unfinished crown as it grabs a lot of the copper jacket from fired rounds at the6 oclock position at the muzzle and causes it to be inaccurate

Berettas that are single action are all the one with frame safeties like the Beretta Steel 1,Billenium,Stock,Combat(the 2 last ones I've never spoke to anyone who's owned one ..so..can't be 100% sure but I would think so)

Anyone have relatives in Texas. @ texas trader there's a Beretta Steel 1 in .40 and the guy is selling it 1000usd . I tried to join the forum but the forum system recognizes my email as a yahoo email and they don't take that. I wrote to the people that run the site to pass on my info to the guy but they didn't and to make thing worst , Canada is not on the list only the different states

:(

Looking forward to the picx

I owned a 96D; it was the first handgun I ever owned, but I had shot others before. Not being a handgun guru, all I can say is that pulling that long long trigger was terrible. I have moved through a few others since then, but I will never buy a double action only pistol again! All the other models I have shot seem decent enough.

And did you know that the spring in the 96D is what people put in the 92/96 fs to ''lighten'' the double action on the first shot... lol

It's one of the many upgrades people do to the 92/96 FS .

D Spring
Skeleton Hammer (they say the lighter hammer makes it go cycle faster)
Extended mag release
Beveled magwell
Crowned barrel

And a few other things ... I forget. That's the reason I'm looking to buy a Elite ll in 9mm or a Steel/Billenium so I don't have to modify . On all those models it's all done

:)

I was not aware of that, but lets compare these models to the regular D model...

Factory 96FS: Completely crappy first DA shot; all followup SA shots have decent trigger pull

"D Spring upgraded" 96FS: Better crappy first DA shot; all followup SA shots have decent trigger pull

96D: Better crappy DA shot every single trigger pull from first shot on

The point I am making is why subject yourself to a DA shot every single pull of the trigger? The D model may have its applications, but it is not for me.
