Hi all

Got a few bipods on different rifles and they all bounce on the bench at the range. All Harris or Harris types, all attached to the swivel nut.

Is there a better bipod for bench shooting?

The range I am at doesn't really lend itself to shooting prone.

There's both wooden and concrete benchs at the range.

Maybe I should move to a dense sand bag instead.

Regards

I have tried a bunch, and the two best ones I have found are the Atlas 5H and the LRA F-Class Bipods. Neither is cheap to be sure, but a big step up from the standard Atlas and Harris stuff.

Take a hint from the benchrest community.
You won't see them using a bipod.
Get a good front rest for shooting off the bench.
And choose the cement benches when you can.

Rempel goes down pretty low and the f-class boys like them a lot,

I use one for load development at 100 and 200 for f-class preliminary notes

others have used them for USA matches for f-open guns with success as you are not giving up much to a f-open rest Jeff
