Which boolit luber?

I have two or three of both. In my opinion the RCBS is much better. If for no other reason the nut that holds the lubersizer dies in is much better on the RCBS. It is very easy to break the one on the Lyman unit. If you buy the Lyman unit make sure you order some spares as it will only be a matter of time before you break one.

I have two RCBS's because the people I know with both told me it's stronger. As mentioned I think the Star is probably better yet, but I have no experience with it.

x2 for the star sizer.
a bit more money but very nice performance.
nose first feed so the top punch pushes on the base of the bullets not the nose(no nose deforming).
also for that reason you only need one top punch per caliber Vs a top punch for every nose design like on the lyman or RCBS.

If you do small amounts of bullets at a time, the RCBS, for larger amounts esp. handgun bullets the Star wins hands down. I use 2 Lyman, 2 RCBS, and 2 Stars, the Stars are air driven, so i know the frustration that each can provide.

I had a Lyman 450, I bought it new in 1979, broke the ratchet, broke the handle, stripped a few feed screws. I chucked it out in the Garage and bought a RCBS LAM2, I have never broke anything on it other than a ball on the end of the lube pressure handle.

I now also have a Star type lubrisizer, it is great but I am still keeping the RCBS Sizer.
