I just ordered a TT-33 pistol today and need 7.62 x 25 amo. I read on here some is pretty bad, but cant find the thread . I'm thinking of maybe 200 rounds ,and dont want to spend more money than I have to, My first thought was to buy surplus amo but dont remember which brands had bad reputaions . I dont need anything fancy , I just want to try out my new gun and i am not much of a fanatic so as long as the amo fires and goes out the barrel, its probably going to be ok in my opinion,but there are probably things I'm not aware of..
which brand of 7.62 x 25 amo would be best for the money?

Surplus is corrosive so you'll have to really clean the gun well after each outing but it is super cheap. Alot of places carry it. New ammo from Norinco (see Canada Ammo) S&B, Prvi is non corrosive but considerably more expensive ($20-30 / 50 rounds)
Be aware that many clubs will not allow surplus steel core ammo to be used.
I bought 100 rds of Sellier & Bellot 85 gr just to get a feel for the gun (very snappy, and it throws the brass around 20 feet!), but I plan to reload for mine.
