If I was going to use that type of scope for this project... I'd seriously look at something in a .223/.204/Hornet and have some serious long range gopher fun!!
If the single shot isn't your thing, and you're considering CZ money - then I'd also throw the Savage Models 25 and 40 in the mix.![]()
well we use those sort of scopes (or better) on every rifle ive ever owned. back in the UK spending double the rifle cost on a scope was average. i cant understand how people spend $1000+ on a rifle, then put a $100 scope on it...
he doesnt really want a .223, partly cos of the higher ammo costs (yes i know UMC's can be bought for about the same price as 17hmr rounds, but they are budget, whereas all 17hmr rounds are premium) plus where we shoot a few of the landowners only allow rimfires.. ill be buying a .223 myself in the future..
